The LT1 is a 355 with all forged internals, JE extreme duty pistons designed for boost, Scat forged crank, and Eagle H-beams with ARP L19 series rod bolts. The block has 4-bolt splayed mains with ARP 2000 series main studs and the block has been half filled with hard block, making the bottom end extremely solid. Everything was professionally machined and assembled by B.E.S. racing engines, one of the best engine builders in the country. The short-block was designed to make at least 1000 bhp reliably. With 58cc heads the CPR is 9.2:1 and with 64cc heads the CPR is 8.7:1.
