Your take on an SS hood on a Z28
as long as you don't put on the badges and tell everyone it is an ss than i think it is a good idea. imo the SS hood looks much better than a Z28 hood and i would have wanted one if i had bought a Z.
I think the SS hood looks better than the stock hood, but if your looking for any kind of performance increase because of the SS hood, you better think again. The air passage on the SS hood has to make a 180-degree turn to get to the throttle body. You will have to pay $1200 or more to get a SS hood painted and put on, and only for like 1-3 HP increase if that, over a stock air intake system on an LT1. A cold air intake system will flow better than the SS setup. For $1200 I can think of much better mods to do on an LT1, like headers or cam or heads or gears or even a cat back. The only reason to get an SS hood for a Z28 is for looks IMO, and if your going for looks I feel there are better looking aftermarket hoods than the SS one.
This is a little off topic but since I've been away from the scene and concentrating on the other love of my life "sportbikes - CBR600F4i", I need to ask this question. What is a Z28 M6?
