Yet another LT1 vs. LS1 STORY!

Well after racing a 3rd Gen/Craig on the HWY we went to the Lonsdale Chevron, well we see a 2001 WS6 Trans AM pull up, we ask the guy if he wants to race, the guy is like "where" I'm like ohh there is this place here in NV, he's like "Ok I'll follow you" nice guy too, so we get to our ussual spot & Armen lines us up, he takes me by 1 car length cuz of my crappy launch of Armen's car, then I floor it & in 1st I got up to his nose, then shift into 2nd & I'm pulling away, we ran a little more then 1/8th mile & I had about 2.5 car length on him & pulling away hard! we then both turn around & me & armen ask him if he wants to go to Mcdonalds, we went there & talked for a bit, its a 2001 Trans AM WS6 & we invited him to our board, so hopefully he'll join

It doesn't sound like an LT1 verses LS1. More like a heavily modded LT1 verses a stock LS1. That my friend is not a fair race. Your lucky he wasn't modded like you or he would have shown you the taillights.

That has to be the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard. An LS1 already has much better heads then an LT1 - so by your argument it wouldn't be a fair race if they were both stock. Oh wait, the LS1 platform weighs less then a comparable stock LT1 - not a fair race! **** that **** - Run what you brung and don't whine about it.

Got to agree. Run what you brung. Doesn't matter if you have the prettiest car in the bunch, stock or otherwise, if you lose... you lose.

bunker/niterider, did you get any details about whether he had any mods done? A win is a win, but it would be even better if he was modded and you beat him. Sounds like Armen's car is strong - we'll have to race sometime.

If he comes on the board, that would be great. We need a few more LS1s around here...
