Will a 94 timing set work on my 96??

Will it work with a vented opti??
I also purchased a hotcam out of a 94 so, would I still have to change the dowel pin If I was to get the 94 timing set???

I thought the crank sproket was slightly different because of the CPS? I'm probably wrong.
