Why so 4th gen drag cars use V-6 springs in the rear?

Why so 4th gen drag cars use V-6 springs in the rear?

my theory is that the v6 springs are "softer" and as a result they will compress more on a launch therefore allowing more wieght transfer to the rear and therefore better traction on a launch

a lot of them put V8 springs back in .. the V6s are TOO soft .. i did my research and kept my stock LT1 springs

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

Stiffer Is better (to a certain extent obviously). If the suspension is decompressing, that energy is being wasted on the springs, rather then planting the tires.

Sorry, 396 Small Block man..... Hopefully it will be a RUNNING 396 soon.

I do have access to a couple of 632s that would fit nicely w/o too much work.

lol nice, i got a 95 that im making into a project car, and i want to fit a bbc in it, just want to know if it can be done without chopping the hell out of the front end lol
