03 Cobra Dyno Update

BOW DOWN!!! My friend, Sunny, just dyno'd his 03 Cobra at Techniques Autoworks downtown and here are his results with $2000 in mods:

with:
Bassani catback...stock headers and h-pipe
Cold air intake
Chip
#15 pulley

460rwhp!!!!!!!

This month, he gets his mid length headers and x-pipe...next summer he's getting the Kenny Bell, Blowzilla SC!

He also just spent a "fortune" upgrading the IRS in order to be able to run slicks...should be interesting!

i went for a ride in that thing .. felt pretty good

i also went for a ride in twitchy's Crackhead WS6 . i must say .. the goes to the crackmobile

tell sunny, me Against him .. NA Vs Boost .. (if i make it out by sat)

Dude...there is no way you or Twich make the same power...hense the 460rwhp! I don't think he had all the mods on when you went for a ride.

You should take him in ET though because of the launch.

im not talking about dyno wars here .. i'll bet money on my ET AND MPH hows that ?

he had 15 psi when he took me for a rip .. in all honesty .. twicth's car felt faster... by no means im saying sunny's car is slow !!! dont get me wrong . it was faster than sandeep's buddy's Z06 that night

and why would my car launch any better ? he'll have slicks and tons more torque than me

I will never bow down to a ford, even if it can beat me. One of my buddies has an 02 Cobra convertable but he wont race. I must admit it is a nice looking car but most Mustangs look like crap. You could buy a new vette for the price of a new vert Cobra. You choose.

I dont think I will be so far off 460 rwhp with the 125 jets . I cant put them in untill I see the wideband and make sure Im not leaning out . Fwiw when I took sideways for a burn the ps1 was only around 900 , with the thermostat gone I was spraying all weekend at between 1100 and 1300 psi . Kicks much harder . If the 100 shot gives me anywhere near what its supposed to I should be around 430 rwhp

On a side note: 460rwhp is nice, but his best time at mission is 13.0 @114mph
And that is with all those mods

Once he finds traction his MPH will jump up to the 120mph range with the potential for easy 11.X ETs.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers

I will be out to watch on the 17th to see how it performs Also the Technique Motorwerks Dyno is the ****s it never gives consistent results Get him to come out to our dyno day, details are in my other post

Also remember that Z06 is a 2001. They are rated at 385hp. The newer ones are 405hp

I know that the car is capable of better times. Sunny was saying that his car should be trapping 118mph.

Those runs at Mission, and when Payam went for a rip, were with just the cold air and cat back.

Questionable numbers? They make 390rwhp with just removing the air silencer. Doubleing the boost and the other stuff he has done makes 460rwhp sound pretty attainable.

Anyway you slice it, Ford got this car right and GM should have done the same (DOHC and IRS) if they wanted the f-body to survive into the latest century. I did a full analysis of this in a report for my Intergrated Marketing Communications class...GM should have hired me to do there PR
