I've got 30% on the sides, rear window, and a 6" strip accross the top of the front... legal limits in WA.

I've considered 20% on the sides... but it's just too much hassle to bother removal and install only to be a bit darker on the sides.

50% tint = 40% heat reduction
35% tint = 45%
20% tint = 55%
5% tint = 64%

50% tint = 46% glare reduction
35% tint = 60%
20% tint = 79%
5% tint = 95%

I got tint done when it was 28°C outside. Tested the interior temps before and after under the same conditions. It was 12°C cooler inside with the tint. BIG TIME difference. I wish I had gone darker.

Stock non-tinted window blocks 35% UV
Tinted window (any percentage) blocks 99% UV. This is why I get sunburnt with non tinted windows yet can drive for hours with tints and not get burnt.

I wouldn't worry about tint if you're running 35% or lighter. I've had cops beside me at lights. And you can always roll your window down a bit if you see them coming up beside you. But ALWAYS roll them down when you come to a roadblock or get pulled over.

As far as interior goes, you'd have to look real close to see a difference between 35% and 20%. It looks the same, although big difference from the outside. To me, 5% is the only tint that looks tinted, and on sunny days like today it's a real blessing. Zero glare behind you when you look in the mirror. No squinting.

I figure I can not get or at least delay getting skin cancer by having tint on my vehicles.

So you can have tint on your driver/passenger windows in vancouver if you car came factory with them? I got a tint ticket in north van just a little while ago. The cop even scraped part of it off as "evidence".

yeah its the tint film they dont like. i say its because they cant smash the window if they wanted to yank you out of there like they do in those police chase videos. ofcourse the pigs will tell you something else. if you really wanted tinted windows and **** em off you could get custom tempered tined glass made and installed. the f bodies in texas and arizona i think had a factory tint option. and i tried to hunt em down at gm, they only found one passenger side still remaining on there computers and it was back east for some reason.

rolling windows down at a roadblock aint gonna help .. if the cop wants to be an ******* they'll tell u to roll it up

i always thought about putting in a switch for the window fuse and turn it off under the dash when u hit a roadblock..

cop: pull up ur window son
me: its busted, the motors are dead .. aint coming up
cop presses the switch : hm i guess so .. ok then

I've got 5% on the back window and 15% on the sides and I love it.
