Where do you fill up?

I'm just curious as to which service station that people fill up at the most.
I guess this poll is mostly for us Canadians as that I didn't put down any Mercian ones like Black Pimp. (BP )

It must be something with the name "Chevron"........or more the "Chev" part of it.
Most of us drive Chev's so it just seems like the right place to fill up.

It says my manual that our cars only require 91 octane to run well.
Since Chevron doesn't have 91 like some of the others - I have always put in 92. No biggie.
I see that some of or a lot of you use 94.......can someone explain the reason for needing this on a stock car?
It was my understanding that a car runs perfect when the octane level is juuuusst right, too high or too low will cause poor fuel economy and loss of power - or so I thought.
Dunno, but I do know that buying 94 causes a light wallet condition for me.

I fill up my Camaro anywhere that sells 94 - Mohawk, Chevron or PetroCan.

My Mercedes gets filled up at the Chevron right around the corner from my workplace. I'm not brand particular, it just happens to be the most convienient place to get diesel. If I'm in a serious pinch, I might stop in at a Safeway and pick up some canola oil and put that in the tank (I've done it before )

i did a lot of gas testing for my truck to see what i could run for the engine and the best by far was chevron 94. it owned them all.

mohawk 94 didn't even come close. my truck would still bog.

as for hte 94 octane over 92 you will not lose power. but your car is desgined for 92 so it dosen't make much of a different.
i find 94 is just a bit smoother and a LIL better gas millage.

some people run 92 in the summer then 94 in the winter/track.

try them both for yourself and test the difference. record your millage and listen to your engine. it may have been 92 when it was manufactured but as the engine breaks down some more. 94 just suits it better. my 2 cents.

the best thing for your car is concistancy. (spelling?)

There has only been one type of gas in my firehawk. Chevron 94 octane, the only way to fly. Never any knocks or pings and bogging down is a dirty word.

Chevron has the closest refinery to us and their gas is often a bit fresher. I run chevron almost all the time in the camaro but if I am in a real hurry I will use petro can 94. Seems ok, no pinging or rattles but noticably less power. The beaters get whatever gas is closest, usually petro can 87.

Well For my car its either Chevron, Texaco, or Exon. depending on whos the cheapest.

BP gas is for the Chits. not worth it.

same with AM/PM Gas.
