When is the next Auto-X event.....

.....that the members of BCTFB could attend? I'd like to go once or twice this year.

Id like to go as well. You guys dont normally shift in an autoX course right? I need a new shifter before I try that stuff . Also need some more caster/camber, but thats easy.

With my 95 I usually shift into second but I can do it in first as well. Look at your overall 1st gear ratio to know for sure. Mine is a 3.42 rear with a 2.66 first = 9.09 :1 . With your 3.08 rear you should be o.k. although I remember you said that your 1st was 3.2 something? I'd like to see you run Cory.

Ya man, I dont know whether I would be in 1st or 2nd. Really I dont need a shifter to go from 1-2.. its 2-3 thats unhappy. My first is 3.42, 3.08 rear with a 27" tall tire. 10.5336:1 at the axle. Makes a top speed of about 40mph in 1st. 2nd gear does a min of 30mph and max of 60mph. Id assume first gear then? I seriously need to add a bunch of shims in the front end and get some bushings for my rear swaybar . Other than that I am keen.... if its not broken

hehe, I dont spend as much time on the board as I used to - too many useless posts!

I only go to UBC events since that's the club I am in. The next events are as follows:

July 20: BCMA closed club event
July 26: UBC closed club
July 27: BCMA closed club
Aug 2: VCMC test and tune
Aug 10: UBC closed club

You can join the clubs before or at the event and participate in the closed club events.

I will most likely be attending both UBC events on the list.

The schedule is up at http://www.ubcscc.com although you may want to hold off on joining because memberships expire at the end of August (I can't believe I'm saying that, since I'm an exec in the club).

Ok, so neither of you guys know what the highest speed I would likely see on the autoX course is? . So who is gonna get off their **** and coordinate this? We only have 6 (including the 2 obvious guys ) interested so far? What is the best way to arrange this? I dont think I have the time to plan this but I will if needed. I vote for Craig or Alex seeing as they know more about this stuff .

What is their to organize??

Just show up!

To be honest I am not really willing to coordinate anything for autoX. Out of the half dozen or so autoX events I have tried to get people out to, only once have I seen any member of the board show up.... and this is after lots of people have said they are interested.

As for your highest speed, with my new setup I get up to around 90km/h tops, which is about 5000 rpm in 2nd gear for me with 3.73s. When I was N/A with 3.42 gears I left it in first gear and ran it up to around 6500 rpm.

I've hit the rev limiter in 2nd before, which is about 95km/h... or thereabouts. So you can get up to almost 100km/h tops... which believe me, on a course that small is scary

OK guys, lets do it aug 10th then. What prices are we looking at? If memberships expire at the end of august we still have no choice but to join to race in aug right?
