Wink Well, here I go again...

As some of you know, I have been road racing in the Production Class in an ex-Player's 1LE IROC for a few years. Our team has been Black Robe Racing, and we equally shared wrench and driver duties and had a blast. That ended recently when my partner pulled out due to health/work issues. The new owner of the IROC has generously continued to allow me to race the car occasionally, and we're planning a joint venture with it to Laguna Seca Raceway next summer, funds and work schedules permitting. But I just couldn't help myself today, having no project of my own around to keep my juices flowing... Sooo,
I've purchased a 3rd Gen T/A that's going to be my own new GT-O Class (serious go/stop fast mods allowed) road racer. So, if I can find all the bits I need, I should have twice the HP/Torque of the IROC, twice the brakes, and four times the fun by sometime this coming race season. I'll keep posting the progress. First, where is that fire-wrench and angle grinder now??

Sounds interesting.
What kind of chassis rules are in this era of GTO class.
Way back when I was involved the only thing production on our car was roof and windshield.
We were in IMSA, what is the organisation now?
Is there a website outlining your class and rules?
Thanks, Gerry

I'm glad to here you're not giving up racing Larry. I'm off most of next summer and I'm considering a trip to Cali. Laguna Seca sounds awesome. Good luck on your project. I guess you read I'm thinking about moving up to a vet. I have a nice firehawk umbrella and chair with firehawk cups that would look great at the car-shows for you and Barb. Take care.

This is the current deal for me.

That looks like what I'll try to do. Very good looking car, but why was it in the infield? Love your Caprice wagon too, I have a sedan.

$185.00 CAD, for a regional race. Enduro races cost more, plus there is a West Coast Championship Series that has been popular and has its own fee schedule. Check here:
