Angry Unbelievable!!

I went out camping this weekend to a place called Sloquet Hot Spring. Its about 2 hours on a logging road heading south from Pemberton. Beautiful place if anyone is looking for a real getaway from the city.

Anyway... On the way back there was a piece of wood in the middle of the logging road. I thought I had enough room to clear it but apparently I didn't. The front tire spat it up and the wood lodged itself into and through my floor board on the rear driver side. At first I thought that I blew out one of the tires. It sounded exactly the same... loud pop and then some grinding. The pop was the wood going through the floor board and the grind was it dragging on the ground.

Its not bad enough the IROC is out for the season now I need to dish out a couple bills to patch a hole and straiten out the floor in the Cherokee.

I'll upload a pic later.

Re: Unbelievable!!

that place is really nice up there. something breaks everytime we go.
lasttime the trailer popped off the hitch and gouged my buddies yukon tailgate and my other buddy got 2 flats and i think it was the mounts for my buddies leaf springs in his bronco broke. a while back one guy got 3 flats and another broke a leaf spring.

i think it is cursed up there.

Man, I had that happen with a pair of SCISSORS!!!

I was driving, heard a thump!, and when I pulled over, there was a set of 14-inch scissors running up thru the floorboard and puncturing the carpet. right thru.

That was on Fraser Hwy. Brutal.

Re: Unbelievable!!

lol... only in Surrey would there be 14" scissors laying in the middle of the road.

I just dropped the Jeep off at the aurobody shop I deal with and its a quote of about $300. A little more than I expected but still better than making a claim and dealing with ICBC.

Re: Unbelievable!!

Heh, last year I rented a brand new bright blue 2003 Silverado Ext cab to move some 10 bolts around.. Anyways, my gf and I took it up the beach and drove around on the sand..... I ran over a hidden piece of driftwood, it got picked up by the front tire, hit the pasanger side door and bounced off, scaring my gf.. There was a fist sized scratch and scruff on the door cause of it.

Oops.. Good thing I paid for the extra insurance coverage! Not like they were going to give my money back if I brough the truck in perfect condition anyways.. (not that I go out and purposely damage rentals)
