Thoughts . . .

. . . on this thing

http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffr...tmgallery.html

Part of me thinks its crazy badass but the other half thinks they missed the mark with the back end and its a kit so it will never be worth anything.

It uses a covette C5 driveline which would be cheap as hell through the auction and I betcha would haul some *** with a 427 ls1 . Looks like there may be room for a roots style blower too.

These some vids of it running on the site.

I think its baddass as well... Altho I don't like that lip on the back end at all...

They say it'll cost less then 20k as well!

one sure could build a monster track car for somewhat cheap!!

Re: Thoughts . . .

I betcha it would cost about 40k - 50k cdn to complete because you need to supply the vette carcus which will be around 7 - 10k and have the body work completed .

Yup its full tube chassis and the body is full carbon fiber. It only weighs 2200 lbs with all the fliuds in. The thing would go like crazy but i dunno about how it would be to drive ( rattles and noise and crap ) .

It dont think it would flip or anything as its made for track racing to stomp on supercars. . . . I guess its the kit car part that bothers me most.

I agree. Looks better without the body on it.

Re: Thoughts . . .

I like the style.. . . mostly. The stance is what I love about it though, look at how low it is in this video as it drives by the mustang. Its barely as tall as the hood. This thing would *** rape everything on the street with a blown 427.

I wonder if you could drive it around without the back end on lol

Re: Thoughts . . .

I think the car looks pretty sweet, except for the back lip. It looks over done, I don’t know maybe with a c5 style chopped off rear it would look better?? From the side at the front of the car it looks kind of like an Aston Martin Vanquish. I would think that it would be a fairly close in performance to the new C6 ZO6 when it comes out. And maybe have better handling then is at a fraction of the cost.

Re: Thoughts . . .

Who cares if it's a kit car, would you say no to a Cobra kit car too? It looks like nothing else on the road, great chassis and power and that exotic look does resemble a Vanquish or McLaren. Looks like great bang for the buck and you get that awesome unique look too.

Definetly not - I'd just turn around and sell it then buy what I prefer.
