There is a little o-ring inside the driven speedo gear. Take it out and make sure its still there. Other wise you may be needing a new driven gear, when they get worn out they leak. Talk to Jason, I know he has some th350 parts .

So, I've removed the speedo cable from the tranny and I don't see an o-ring - where is it supposed to be? In between the 'cup' on the speedo cable and the housing on the tranny? And, if so, what size is the o-ring supposed to be?

You gotta pull the little bolt out and pull out the gear. The speedo cable end plugs into the gear. I cant remember if fluid comes out or not on a th350 so have a drain pan handy. I dont think it does but better safe than sorry. All that is in there is the threaded aluminum peice that the cable threads onto, a plastic driven gear, and an o-ring. just pull the bolt out and wiggle out the threaded part. Sorry, I have nfc what size the o ring is.

Thanks. The only reason I asked about the o-ring size is that I thought it might have gone between the speedo cable and the plastic threaded bit the speedo cable threads onto. Being that I didn't have an o-ring to compare sizes with...

Anyway, I'll undo that bolt tomorrow and see what I find. Thanks for the help
