I have a friend that has a DONE OUT 2nd gen RX7 pushing about 15-18psi. When I say done out, I mean he has done everything including motor swap. I give this description because he really wants to race me.

Who will win??? Drag or Highway?

You guys know my combo (ported heads, cc305, LT's, electric H2O pump) and I'm asking for serious guesses. I figure he's making about 310rwhp.

I am assuming stock twins boosted to 18psi? If he has done a single turbo conversion.... you will be in trouble.

2nd gens weight about 2800 pounds, or about 600 pounds less then your fully loaded T/A. If he is pushing 310 rwhp I would say that he has you from a roll.

If you launch well you will take him in the quarter, but he will be pulling back on you.

 

Stock, if I can remember what he told me, is 9psi. It's a single turbo with a large front mount intercooler.

I've been in the car when his boost controler was only letting him run 10psi and I know I would slaughter him with that setting. I don't know about 15-18 though

as i own a 2nd gen 88 rx-7 ill give you a true estimate on this matter if you can drive your ride well, you will eat him up! rx-7's are ****ty slow pieces of crap! hp is only half the story here! he might have 310rwhp but it will only be like 100lbft of torque! lol a 350 has both! if you can get out of the hole without blazin the tires you will destroy him, and even the turboII's only have 210 hp with a intercooler and the whole works! but no torque! i dont think you'll have to worry, (this might sound kinda bias, but i cant help it cuz im extremly dissapointed in those cars, especially after owning one! lol) F-BODIES 4 LIFE!

 

Is it white by any chance? If so I got smoked about a year ago

 

If its Adriene, when he was stock with just uped boost, he killed me in my stock 93 by 3 car length from a roll all the way up & kept on pulling, we reraced 4 times atleast, he beat me all the time but now we raced him in Armen's car which has just headers about 1.5 month ago & we ate him alive.

Adrian, Payam, Houman, Shawn, Craig and I went for a little "drive" about 30min ago up the cut. I pulled on him at half throttle with 60L of gas on board but then again he only had 9psi of boost.

We will see...I just need traction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice show andy, boost guys always have some sort of excuse, but good job, adrian and the cut don't seem to go togther!

 

He didn't give any excusses...there was too much traffic to really get into it but it was obvious what the outcome would have been and he admitted that.

i just had a full on race with him

going up the cut in north van
from a 70Km/h roll
i got 4 cars on him then let off.

he's only running 7PSI
i'm gussing 290-300RWHP

but soon as he pushes 20PSI+ then i'm scared
