try now. theres also a resonator option to quiet it down a bit but i havent heard it yet. thats for some people who want it quieter. personally i think it just sounds killer.

I agree, I like the sound of it, I expected it to be quieter. Louder the turbo or supercharger, the better

well sound is personal choice, i personally hate the sound of a blower.

as for bog, i watched both vids again, i dont know what your talking about. i cant see it.

and as for how fast it looks from inside the car, not too many vids ive seen make a car look fast when looking thru the windshield. that and from the sound of it, sounds like he only goes thru two gears.

like i said the vids are more for the sound of the car.

How effective is the blower when mounted that far away from the engine?
Is there little or no difference?

thats a turbo, ideally the front mount turbo is more efficient. but the rear mount turbo has been resized by garret to work in the remote mount situation. all the sts turbo users claim to make full boost by 3k rpm.

but with a front mount turbo you add weight up front. add the heat of a turbo up front in the engine bay. additional wieght of the intercooler up front. much more fabrication and worry of melting wires up front. not to mention install times.

the rear mount system is known to be installed in less then four hours, completely bolt on system.

what it comes down to is cost and purpose. the cost of the sts sytem is cheaper then say a PTK kit. and most users of the sts kit arent hardcore 9 second quartermile racers. although as far as i know sts is working on a hardcore kit.

for the average user you wont notice the difference in spool up time from a front mount system to a rear mount system. i think they actually timed spool up time to be offsetted by less then half a second when compared to a front mount system.

so to answer your question, little to no difference

I was always thinking that a blower is a device that forces air into an engine - be it of the turbo or super variety.........
