Yup..it makes so much noise now, I'm not even going to race tomorrow I want to nurse it at least another month.

Dude prolly cuz you put new oil in so its making even more noise, but whatever, you can borrow my rear end if you are stranded, anywho how does the car feel? everything makes 100% complete sense now.

oh well .. it was time. some rear ends break in the line of duty, aka wearing slicks at the track .. some pass away on their death bed, aka on the street ... go get that 9" now.

ps. this is the 2nd 10 bolt rear end u've been thru .. man ur vicous !!! lol


edit: come to think of it .. the thing did start to make a bit of noise when i changed the oil in it.. i dunno why u went and changed that oil again .. it was brand new when i gave it to u

I haven't changed the oil in it! I gave it to Mr. Harrison and he said it would be a waste to change the cover when the rear was planing to give way anytime...therefore it's exactly the same as when I got it from you Payam.

PS= For Matt:

Rob said that my tune was so close it wasn't funny (put it on his exaust analysis machine and took it for a rip)

He also said he didn't know what I was talking about with it being underpowered...he said I'd be happy when I go to the dyno because there is no doubt that it should make over 400fwhp judging from his experience.

Yes right now it should, it won't make any more power if I was to fix it properly, but it would be done properly, right now there is no problem as far as power goes, but if you wanna do it right its just nice.

ps. When properly done it would still make more power throughout the rpm range which results in good track times, not your top dyno figure, the way it is now I doubt it'll do to well at the track. just give me a call I'll explain.

 

I'm thinking of putting 4.11's in my 10 bolt now, seems lots of people are doing it & if its done right, I heard its sweet.

 

just get a 8.5 10 bolt dammit! lol

 

hey andy what oil are you using? a lot of guys in the lt1 tech section experienced a lot of noise when the changed there rear end fluid and didnt use the gm stuff. and it progressivley got worse till they changed it back to the gm stuff and then the noise went away. just a thought.
