Ok guys, with all the interest from SBainsTA thread I figured this was as good as a time as any to throw an idea out here and see what kind of feedback it would get. I think it would be cool as ****, but thats just me. This is just a rough idea. Very rough.

Anyway here it is: A gumball, cannonball, poker run style event.

I have to stress right away that this is not a race. It would be a gathering of auto enthusiasts for a couple days of excitement. Entry would be open to anyone.

Day one - Vancouver-Kamloops: Friday early AM(7-8) everyone meets up at a local hotel/? for sign up. It will be a good opportunity to meet everybody and gawk at some cars.

At 9 AM we are off and heading to Kamloops. This leg of the event will take us over the Coq. A two lane highway the entire way could make for some interesting footage.

Arriving in Kamloops should only take 3 hrs max. Check into a local hotel and that will leave us the afternoon for some AutoX. Time to go beat on the cars without worrying about the local RCMP.

At 6 PM, time for a feast. The rest of the night is up to the entrant. Some might want to go cruising, others may want to go to the local pub. Your decision.

Day two - Kamloops-Kelowna-Osoyoos: Saturday 9 AM: The posse fires up for the trek to Kelowna. (I am still unsure what the best way to go is here....either straight up Hwy 97 thru Vernon or backtrack to Merrit and take 97C(Kelowna Connector) to Kelowna.)

Once in Kelowna we get on Hwy 33 and make a pit stop at Thunder Mountain Raceway for some drag racing. (Ive never been there but I know its and 1/8th mile track.)

3PM we continue up Hwy 33 to Rock Creek and on to Osoyoos. I can tell you this is one hell of a fun road to drive....twisty and well paved. Very little traffic and hardly ever patrolled.

5-6PM everyone checks into the local hotel for the windup dinner/party. Prizes will be given away at this point. The rest of the night is up to you.

Sunday--go home.

Just a couple other quick comments. Making it a poker run....best hand wins a cash prize and the end of the event. Cards would be given out at certain points of the course.

The entry fee would include the hotels and dinner(friday and sat)

The goal here would be 30 plus cars.

Stickers of sponsors? numbers?

Everyone would also get a DVD of the event.

I realize this would take a sh!tload of work to pull off but with help and possible sponsers I think this could be an annual event.

Lets hear some comments. If you think the idea blows, tell me why. If you think there could be something better to add into the events, lets hear that too.

In case people are wondering, I deleted my post, because of certain childish behavior Thanks for the input for all that gave it, and I think this is a pretty good idea.
It's not a race, more like a long cruise.

This didnt go over as good here as I thought it would. Twitch, SBain, and Steamline Im going to make a few phone calls/emails to see if this is even possible. Ill keep you up to date.

I need some serious brain storming here. Any ideas what to call this? To make any serious enquires I have to have name for this.
