Quick question

As much as I hate and don't want to, I think the time has come for me to sell my camaro. I'm just curious as to what you guys think I could ask for my car. I know it's hard without seeing it, but I just need an idea. I'll list the specs, and what I was thinking of asking. It's a 1981 z28, 350, M21 4 speed with a Hurst shifter. 2.02 heads, performer intake, holley 600 vac sec. 3.73 gm rear end. No AC, power windows. There are some little spots of rust starting under the ground effects near the rear wheels. I'd say it's safe to say it's in the 300-350 horse range. The paint is burgandy, and not in bad shape, except for the words "***" and "**** U" someone keyed into my trunk lid, and quater panel =( I can't afford to get it re-painted ect... I'll miss this car way to much, but I also know I can get another one in the future. I was thinking in the 3000.00 dollar range or so, but I could be way off. Thanks Guys.

Yeah, I know. It sucks so bad. I know if I was looking at a car, and I saw that, I probably wouldn't want to buy it either. But it's not what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside =) Too bad it's not true =(

You might consider getting a cheap Maaco paint job prior to selling it. It'll be much easier to sell, and you'll probably get the paint money back. Remove as much stuff as you can prior to sending it in for paint and you'll save some $$.

Being that it's not a common car it might not be easy to part out, but... if ya do, I could use some interior bits

its scary how ur car sounds EXACTLY like my old 79 Z28 .. i had an identical car to what u are describing here less the cam and headers .. the rest is exactly teh same .. even the rust spots ..

just go thru icbc and pay $300 for a paint job .. they wont pay ya for a complete paint job due to rust .. but take it to maac and they'll take that claim and paint it completely

I've placed an add on buysell, and in autotrader. You'll see the add there. I'm asking $2800.00. We'll see what happens. I need the money quick, because I found myself a new ride.. I'm not going to say what it is, becuase most of you will laugh at me.

Ok, here goes. It's a 1988 Pontiac 6000 SE. Now, it's not any ordinary Pontiac 6000. This is a nice one.. if there's such a thing. It's got 50k on a new 2.8, full load. Power everything, a/c (that works) I used to own a 1983 pontiac 6000, and it wasent too bad a car becides all the steering racks.. but other than that it was an ok car. I'm looking forward to the new car. It's in MINT shape.. single owner, NON smoking car. It looks like it's off the showroom floor.. I'm getting it for 2500.00. I'll post pics once I get it. I'm looking forward to it... I have to commute to work ect.. so I need something better on gas.
