Question

i had my fuel pump replaced about 2 weeks ago and i was wondering.............
are the fuel lines that run to the engine moved in the process?
i was driving home from school and i could smell fuel and when i got home and opened the hood my fuel lines had a hole melted into it and was sparying out fuel
the reason for the question is flag changed my pump and charged me a whole lot of money and would they be held liable for this??

changing the fuel pump has nothing to do with the fuel lines under the hood .. u dont even pop the hood to re&re the fuel pump

perhaps they accidently tampered with the fuel lines underneath.

whatever it is, take it back and raise some hell

spraying fuel in a hot engine bay - it should have gone boom!

But as sideways said - you don't open the hood to do the fuel pump.

This was a big problem on the 93 models and if the clip is gone at the Throttle linkage on later models.

Back in the day there were a few sites that showed a few burned car from them

Its been exactly one year today ive owned my car and to this day the lines have never run into any problems until 2 weeks after getting my fuel pump replaced so im not sure how the line could have melted now.

I would agree - could be a coinedcidence but.......mabye not.....

My advice would be to go back to flag with questions - not demands.
