Portland on friday nights

Anything going on in the portland area tonight or on friday night? I'm new to the area, and bored. I have been here a solid week and have yet to see another Trans Am. I have seen one stock LT1 white Z28, and not a single LS1 Z or TA. Seen a couple C5s, and a single C4.

Let me know if anyone has anything going on anywhere, I'll be there. I'm in Beaverton, btw.

Shows are cool and all I'll have to check into them, but what about people just getting together to "hang out". In Texas we just gathered at a local Sonic and talked cars, and sometimes went racing. Anything like that going on around portland?

Since I dont live in Portland I wouldnt know not down in that area. They do have cruise ins & what have you up in this area. I would get a hold of the Columbia River Fbody club www.columbiarivercamaro.com I know they have meets & stuff down that way. They will be more then willing to hook ya up with a cruise spot

Not much of an f-bod scene here, at least compared to many other metro areas. Not much of a regular cruise style scene here since they shut down 82nd, 122nd, and Broadway to cruising.

There are some good f-bod owners in the area. On the other hand, there are a lot of stuck up f-bod drivers, too. Grrr.

Plus, you're on the west side where German imports, SUV's, and other stuffed shirt vehicles abound prevail.

**Can anyone harken back to the days we used to race out by Alcoa in Vancouver? That was hella fun. Last time I was out there was 86-87. Getting old....**

I haven't paid much attention to the cruise in and gathering goings on this year. My T/A should be streetable by months end, so I guess I better start paying attention.

I raced my Z28 out there a couple years ago and the scene was pretty good. Of course that was "pre" fast and furious days.

Dang, I had no idea people were running out there again. Last I'd heard it had been shut down pretty hard.

Of course, that was shortly after a sore loser with a .357 went chasing after the poor soul that beat his buddy and celebrated a little too much for this dudes liking.

**Must retract T/A street worthiness statement in previous post. A Fate named Murphy has intervened and screwed things up. Errgh.
