Porting & Polishing Heads

Has anyone done a do-it-yourself polish/porting job on their car?

Many of my fellow v6ers in the states done it and it resulted in 16-25RWHP from the mod, i read a lot of stuff on the subject matter but am scared to attempt it on my car...

how hard is it really? who done it?

It's harder than some ppl want to tell ya, especially if you have little or no mechanical experience.

pay a shop to do it... but it'll run you probably $400 - 500 for a port job with valve job etc. etc.

and for the remove/replace cost etc. I don't know if it's really worth it.

If i were you with the v6 I'd just look at maybe a 75hp shot of juice and a few bolt-ons and then leave it and maybe saveup for an engine swap or an LT1/LS1 car.

just my $0.02

If you are thinking of letting the locals do your porting, you're way better off doing it yourself, they don't do anything.
