Talking Playing with a 2003 Z06!!!!

Stopped at a light on Thursday morning and I notice a vette behind me. As I left the light he was right on my ***, so I knew he wanted to play. I was thinking that this C5 was going to be dissapointed by a LT1 F-Body (I had no idea it was a Z06 at this point) But when we got to a nice open area where we could lay it down he was staying right beside me??? After closer inspection I see the Z06 405hp emblem on the side. The guy was really cool and we got to play a few more times. To make a long story short it was a tie 3 times in a row

But it is its just the natural evolution . . . the LS1 is a better design , lighter engine . . . makes more power , revs faster , gets better gas milage and has way better engineered heads and ignition system . . . they all get old theres the ls2 now and soon the ls7 . . . the ls2 dyno's make the ls1 look like crap .

Sounds like an awsome run

yeah but if there sooooo much better then how come it failed to hand musky his ***?? i mean its in a zo6, so its a ls6, lighter car and it still just managed to barely beat him 3 out of 6 times. and all shawns got is a hot cam, headers and home ported heads. i dont see what all this hooohaa is about the ls1s.

The LT1 is a kick *** engine no doubt but Heads , cam, headers . . . what other mods. The ls6 is stock in full emisions trim putting out about 360 - 370 rwhp . . . headers will make it 380 - 390 . . heads well over 400 rwhp and not even a cam swap yet still the puny ls6 cam

I betcha I break 400 rwhp without heads on my small cam after shes all tuned up . Colonel on ls1 tech has 420 rwhp with my small cam and heads through an auto and 12 bolt

yeah but 360-370 rwhp on a what 2800lb chassis it shoudl have mopped the floor with musky. that and its got the m29 gearing too. i used to think the ls1s were under rated now im begining to think the lt1 is under rated and the ls1 over rated.

yeah but his car costs more, the stock heads flow more, the stock ls1 cats out flows almost all cats on the market.

all i gotta say is both times can be achieved with either a ls1 or lt1, so why all the hype about the ls1?

and shawn did this with a m6, no high stall a4.

i just can believe im defending the lt1 on two different forums.
