Re: Ordered my cam
Catch up boys, the LT1 still rules BC for NA power, well even for boost I belive Craig & Shaun set that limit, I set the NA limit for Horsepower, Payam did for Track times, no LS1s anywhere yet lol

Re: Ordered my cam
Ohh please, I hear LS1s dont work well with big cams anyways because of your guy's intake design, Bobby has a big cam & heads & I'm still a few rwhp ahead no flame here just a comparison, hes running an XER 232/230 cam & Janzter heads w/kooks headers, LPE lightweigh DS & 3.42 gears, I'm loosing on power due to my 4.10s aswell Plus my A/F boys don't forget, I'm almost sertain that 415-420 is easy once tunned properly which should be next time, hope the 12 bolt won't suck up too much of my HP lol.

Re: Ordered my cam
bah no one cares you got a cam, we will only care once its in and on the dyno.
and the wording is "its go time" not "its go fast time"
and youll only truly go fast if you get a sts turbo
BTW rumour has it a certain STS turbo TA rolled on a 03 red convertible viper in surrey

K Ill bite . . .
LS1's love big cams where do you guys get this stuff. On BIG CUBE motors the ls6 intake starts to become a restriction, the lsx only provides very minimal gains on stock cubes with ALL the bolt ons and big cam/ heads cars, jantzer heads dont classify as heads imo. MTI and the like make heads that comparison to anything is a joke.
LS1 > LT1 period . . . through stock heads and cats with a TINY little baby cam on stock flywheel I layed out 390 . Big heads , huge cam all the bolt ons does 405 through a cutout and will totaly fail smog lol . . . hmmm . . . .
FWIW stock heads ls1's make more than 400 rwhp with just a big cam through cats so its soooo not a war lt1's can win

Re: Ordered my cam
the fastest H/C C5s are not running big cams. The cartek 2X package uses a 224/228 grind and ran 128mph in the 1/4 in a z06.
The LS6 intake runner length rolls off the hp quickly up top regardless of the cam or the heads used. running a massive cam is useless if it rolls off just as fast as the smaller cam, and sacrifices midrange.
I think the ticket with LSx cams is a moderate duration, aggresive lobe with big lift, and a nice tight LSA. for a stock cube motor, something like a XE-R lobed 232/232, 108 LSA running .600 lift. This will give a massive TQ peak and still pull to 6800 rpm like the bigger cams. Of course, you need to take into account headers/heads before picking the right cam

Re: Ordered my cam
Didnt J Rod beat the cartek car , he runs a g5x3 NA and beat cartek at the shoutout last year anyways with a 10.67x@127 through a 6 spd too I think ?? I just remember because of the pissing matches between LG and Cartek before and after lol.
