That game tonite was by far the best of Vancouver's. Vancouver looked weak IMO for the rest of their wins. But tonite they clearly dominated. Thats the way I enjoy watching them play. I was slightly frustrated watching the first six games, thinking Vancouver was undeserving of their wins (as a team). Very much doubted them - though tonite was impressive.

I can't believe the Avalanche are knocked out.....It was all Roy's fault
I can. Like I said, they just didn't have it together the past few games. anyone who's followed Roy for the past 10years or so would of noticed he was off about a week ago. When he's on, he 's the best that ever lived. When he's off? He's average. He wasn't horrible, but he didn't save his team like he usually does.

Remember the Canadiens era? Roy carried them. Don't blame Roy, blame the rest of the team that couldn't carry him for a game or two. (and the GM that doesn't have the ***** to pull Roy or start when it was clear Roy needed to get his head in the game).

Yep. I'd like to see St. Pat get another ring, but Colorado just doesn't have it this year. Canucks show heart, as always, but I fear they'll be a bit short (like last year... that STILL ticks me off).

I'm just glad Detroit is gone. Hopefully Ottawa will pick up from where they left last year... that was an incredible run
Did I call it?

Still... I'm not convinced the Canucks will go all the way. Facing the Wild instead of Roy will obviously help... but even they'll eventually have to face Dallas and even worse... Ottawa (who's gonna win it all).

Talking

Well said Steve - Patrick Roy is arguably the best goaltender to play the game thus far. If it wasn't for his hot play down the stretch, they would NOT have been able to pass the Canucks in the standings leading up to the playoffs. There are rumours that Roy actually suffered a minor injury that was unreported last week - that would explain alot. But instead of criticizing Colorado, why not praise the Wild? Jaque Lemaire is one of the best defensive/trapping coaches in the game - it's no fluke that the Wild are undefeated this season after leading 2 periods of play.

As for Dallas - I will take bets: I guarantee that Anaheim will win that series. You heard it here first - the Ducks will beat the Stars .

Chriss - how can you say that Vancouver was undeserving of their wins as a team in their previous 3 wins? Facing adversity from a deep St. Louis team is no easy task, and at the end of the day, the score was in our favour. I agree that their 3rd period antics were scary, but that's playoff hockey, and the ends justify the means .

I can't wait for Friday .

We WWWWWIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN. Go Canucks Go. Minnesota should be an easier opponent than St. Louis. Then beat Dallas or Anahiem and we have cup-fever again. Haven't felt this way since 94 and it's only the first round. I said to myself, if the canucks eliminate the blues I'm gonna put one of those canuck flags on my car till they lose or win the cup. I'll be flag shopping at canadien tire first thing this morning for the flag, on the band wagon again.

Yeah it was a GREAT gameto go too as well. The noise and energy in the stadium.......

The fans really got on Osgood.

I diddn't realize how tall they ALL are. lindenis 6 4. Malik is 6 5 All but 2 players are over 6 foot.

Reid is an exciting player. Gave you that feeling that you got with Bure, every time he had the puck you felt that something could happen.

In the St louise side, Boguniecke (sp) is 5 8. He is towered over. There was one time that Malik was standing beside him after the whistle. It was laughable the height differance.

Too bad that Bert missed on the breakaway.

my seats were about 5 feet forward on the St. Louis goal line and THREE ROWS FROM THE GLASS.

Awesome game!! Best one in a long time! And that hit that Bertuzzi threw was awesome!! I think they all did so well that game. Lets hope they carry it on and get another 10+ game unbeaten streak.
And I can't believe MacInnis was playing! Tough SOB.
Pronger is a cheap bitch. I used to like him, but after watching him this series I no longer am a fan of his. I HATE cheap players.

Thank god we don't have to play against Marchment. You know one of our guys would have been taken out with a dirty hit. And I don't think Minnesota has a player like Blake that they can try to match up against Bertuzzi.
