Bill
i dont' think 5 years of schooling is much
school is NEVER waste of time... unless you're going for nothing
so what? you finished 5 years of school.. GOOD FOR YOU... now do another 5 in another field... its not like your 70.. you're only 22
why not go for the Ph.D?
i'm no one to talk.. cause i've only done a year of post secondary.. but thats the right way of thinkin about it... hehe
but i guess there is no right way of thinkin about it..
or is there?

Hey Bud,
Dont sweat the small staff. My suggestion is....Finish first what you have started, so in this instance your Computer Sci degree. After completion, try out the field of being an automechanic, and see how you like it.
If you figure that you are not ment to work as a mechanic in a career, rather you enjoy working on your car more as a hobby, etc. then you will have your degree to fall back on.
Computers are new age technology that will always advance, thus create more opportunity. If you specialize in computers, and find a niche you can make a ****load of moola, that will allow you to spend even more $$ and time on the thing you love; cars...
My best friends dad is a Director of Sales for an I.T. company, but he is also a huge car enthusiast (owns a Dodge Viper R/T, Ferrari Testerosa, Corvette, and a Benz..) he has his own garage with all the tools, and now is working on rebuilding a Sunbeam Tiger V8 (he's also throwing in 30,000USD of aftermarket stuff into the car)....
he is working his career what he studied for, he likes it... but he spends a lot of time on his cars, that he loves.... career delivers way more $$$ that allows him to do way more with his cars... works out nice
just my 2 cents
