muffler choice?
i think its because flowmaster is more geared and designed around the oldschool market and exh designs, the other mufflers in their line up have differnt noise tones, but you guys got to stick with one muffler unles you go true dual? is it possible on 4th gens?

Flowmasters sound awesome in a dual setup with tailpipes. Mufflers sound the best when they have longer tailpipes. Thats one thing I don't like about our cars. The exhaust note gets too raspy at times with the exhaust ending right after the muffler.
i like my flowmaster .. but id rather have a borla
when i do my true dual setup i'll either go with borla XR1s or spintech mufflers
if i wasnt doing a true dual i'd change my flowmater CB for a borla

flowmaster makes more then just one kind of muffler. i hear the american thunder series is a loud sounding exhuast. make sure you get the full cat back as well, not just the muffler. do a search in the lt1 tech section, you may come across some sound clips as well. just all depends on how much you want to spend.

isn't the american thunder catback like $600 ?
i would think it would be much cheaper to just simply buy the muffler of choice, and fit it into the orignal mufflers place....
theres more to a cat back then just the muffler, the i pipes are bigger and manderal bent, provide better flow, less restriction. thats why they cost a lot. otherwise people will be just going out and buying borlas and whatnot. its pointless to get a muffler without the catback piping. other then for just sound. the further down the restriction the less of a effect it has on hp.
