My bird is "kicking it up a notch" in the sound department. I just won the auction to a Alpine IVA-D900 dvd head unit off ebay brand new in the box from a power seller, I'm exstatic.
These units came out last year with a 7" 1.15 million pixel screen, the best in the business. The retailed for around 3 grand but the price has dropped considerably with the new Alpine IVA-D300 and 901 push button screen, I paid $1,349.99 US and with todays great exchange rate it will cost me $1,789.00 Canadian. The sound processors are top notch too. Complimenting this unit is JL Audio CXI and CXL replacement speakers for the 10-speaker Monsoon and a JL Audio 10W6 sub with a stealthbox in the driver's rear cubby. The 2 new JL Audio 500/1 and 300/4 amps will be mounted on a amp rack in the trunk on the backwall as to save my t-top space. Also adding some neons to brighten up the trunk when it's opened. Call me a ricer if you must but it's my car and I'll do it up whichever way I please. I may sell the hawk to my g/f and order up a new C6 but for now this killer stereo will keep me happy over the summer. I still have the Monsoon for sale and a new in the box Phoenix-Gold 4-channel amp and new Soundstream 6x9 3-way spl speakers. My bird will soon be ready for the 4 major events; sound-off competition, show n' shine, autocross or the track, pick your pleasure.

Getting it installed at Creations in Langley, a friend from work named Ivan works part-time at Creations, drives a modded white stang. He says Brent is da man for this install. I'll be out there as soon as the new Alpine head unit arrives. I'm on holidays now for six weeks, party time. See some of you sunday for the cruise.
