Okay, at least they appreciate the LS1. Those cars aren't gonna handle as good as an f-body so why bother dropping one in those ugly rice cars that you see every 2 minutes on the street? It's a waste of time, money and a great engine.

Okay, I've never driven an RX7 and the rides as passengers didn't impress me. I know, it must have been the driver's fault for not showing me what it can do. All I know is my f-body with the full Bilstein racing suspension package will corner like a slapshot around the boards of an ice rink. Get ready for hockey and if bunker tells everyone how good Minnesota was and he was pulling for them again I'll flame him big-time with a rap. Your probably right Payam about the handling of the RX7 and I'm far from an expert. That's one reason why I'm here, to learn more about cars. Especially our beloved f-bodys.

What are the stats on your suspension setup ?? Spring rates , bar sizes etc . Do you have a pic / pics of the car ?? How is the car on transition , I mean hard left and quick swap to hard right than punch the brakes type stuff ?? Sounds cool anyways , I have heard great things about the revalved bilsteins . The worst part of the fbody suspension has gotta be the stock decarbons

You have to realize that our cars will probably outhandle THAT RX7 in particular because its no longer a 50/50 weight ratio car, its more like a 70/30 weight ratio car, the engine that was in the RX7 is tiny compared to the LS1, I understand the LS1 is alluminum but its still gonna be much heavier then the Rx7 engine considering I can pick up an RX7 engine, plus the way the LS1 engine sits in there right now is probably putting most of the weight on the tip of the nose as apposed to when they sit in our cars they are under the cowl sitting inline or lamost behind the struts.

i thought an ls1 with tranny and exhaust was only like 100 lbs heavier than the stock rotary with tranny, exhaust and heat shields. thats what i thought i read when some other guy did it and wrote all about it.

It's true that RX7's DO handle better than our cars....BUT put them on a track, especially a large one with lots of straights, our cars will smoke them. Their handling capabilites can't match our pure raw hp and reliability....want proof??? Go to SCCA's site or the Speedvision world cup's site.

i have never seen one, but from what i understood from the guys write up of it was that there was not that much of a difference because of all the heat shields you can pull off. but i am pretty sure it was just 100 lbs more once everything was done. that is just what i remember reading, so i am not saying it is right.
