A co-worker got a ticket today for doing 107 in a 100 zone. Seriously, wtf is that! I just cant believe a cop would give anyone such a rediculous ticket, especially to a professional driver. That could totally f*ck him for future employment opportunities. He said he wasnt rude to the cop at all and that the cop gave him the "you also have a violation in your logbook,(which was also lame) so Im just going to give you a ticket just for the speeding and let you go on the logbook violation" speech. I can just imagine if that happened to me....yeah thx man....btw have you ever had both your legs broken?

What would make you think this is justifiable? What do you think was going through his head?....Well he was doing SEVEN over...

Im not a police basher at all and I dont even care to read the "all cops suck" threads. I think most cops are good people and do the best they can with a sh!tty system they have to work with. Its just to bad that there are a few cops out there that make all the others they work with look bad.

i wouldnt worry about it, i'm sure ur friend can take it to court and win it, there are too many inaccuracies in the radars and speedos that they have to give a certain percentage of the speed limit as lee-way (sp?)

there's no way in HELL he should take this, even if he gets a lawyer, just incase (as it could fudge up his future employment)

 

tickets are a money grab. The cop probably needed to meet his quota for the month so he could win the microwave. cops should do something a little more useful sometimes. maybe that is why they have a bad name. i get pulled over for doing 105 on the freeway (no exaggeration) but everyday every second person driving through the parkzone in frn t of my condo is doing 70. we sent a petition around and to the cops because it was getting so bad and they stilll do nothing about it.

How about this i hate useless cops.

 

I am not certain but I believe you can only be given a ticket if you are 9 or over so tell him to dispute that.

That is SO frustrating. It would be worth disputing in court I would say.

One thing I hate is how you never know if you are getting a nice cop or bad one. Some just have a flippin attitude. Some are great.

Anyways, glad you vented.
