Just bought an 03 Cobra... and raced a few LS1's :)

I raced my friends 98 C5 M6 with a K&N and a custom Catback and my neighbors 03 Zo6 last night on Hardison RD in Everett...

98 C5 vs Me

We both launched very well and I got a 1 car lead through first. AFter that we were almost dead even through 2nd and 3rd. We shut down at the begging of 4th as we were running out of room. By that time I only had maybe 1 1/2 cars on him.

It was very very close.

The best time my buddy has run was a 12.91 @ 109 on F1's

03 Zo6 vs me

He got me off the line by a nose and I stayed dead even with him through first. 2nd gear was a different story though... He started pulling and kept pulling all the way through 4th.

He had me by about 3 cars when I hit 125mph and we ran out of room.

So I got my *** handed to me by the Zo6.

Anyways it was a fun comparison so I thought I would share.

NICE runs, that must have been a quick 98 all the 98's at the local track run high 13's????

I'd be interested what would have happened with the Z06 at a 40mph roll. Supposively the cobras really open up on the highway.

I'd like to tangle with a Z06 on the highway I think I'd take one pretty good. From a stop I'd have to learn how to drive alot better

Now go buy a pulley and whip all of our asses

woulda been the same result most likely.... Z06 is lighter, has better aero, and makes slightly more RWHP stock for stock

exhaust, pull and chip and you'll be putting at 450+ rwhp.. for less than a couple grand!

My neighbor got the KB "Blowzilla" on now, and is supposidly making much more than that.. I haven't taken a ride in it lately.. but with the BPU's before that, it already made my 99 Z28 feel slow, in straight lines..

you realize that a CBR900RR could probably run well over 130 mph right ?
