sorry, but your wrong about those performance numbers, other then the production 454 ss 70 chevelle at a rated 450hp, the limited production ZL1 camaro from 69' was rated at "430hp" 427, all aluminum. but on dyno testing they proved to be actually over 550hp! with slicks as the only mod for traction purposes, they ran stock 10.80's all day long i got the article

Wanna buy a brand new ZL1 454 aluminum block motor? Sure you do, just go to gmpartsdirect.com and they have three left. Better act quick, here today, gone tomorrow. They are on special right now. When you get to the web-site, hit the specials link and there it is. They're even knocking off $5,000.00 US list price. Sale price is just over $16,000.00 US. Drop one of those babies in your f-body and you're king of the road. Sounds expensive but look how much we spend modding our cars. That baby wont need to be modded, unless you add wings and want to fly.

13.8
13.8 at 105mph stock
Stock, as in on street tires. I know that STOCK they ran about the same as the superduty 455s. Slicks arent stock parts . I could still be wrong on the mph, maybe it was 115? But I am pretty sure they ran 13.8s Which I think was the fastest STOCK (as in on street tires ) car in 69. God help the guy who stuffs some good slicks on the end of that 02 ZL1 with a 7.5". BANG!
