I have an NSX for the week
Now before anyone goes and starts saying "those cars are overpriced" or "they make no torque" or blah blah blah, I want to say that my neighbour has gone away and she has left me the keys of her acura NSX and CBR for a week - and I feel very honoured.
The NSX is modified to the hilt for AutoX... not for drag racing. I don't think there is a single thing not done to it and it is one of the tightest driving vehicles I've seen.
I am really looking forward to driving a car that is so much set up different from my own. Just for the experience.
And I got to say, how many people have a neighbour so nice that she (yes... she) hands you the keys to her semi-exotic car and says: "please drive it - I WANT you to drive it, but don't let my daughter have the keys."

I want a ride. The new NSX is around $130,000. but the old ones were a bargain at around $50,000. in the early ninties. They were and are one of the best exotic cars for the money. The is one nice piece of rice.
I'm going to go for a short drive tonight to get a feel for it, see how much better it handles than an ordinary car (or mine). I expect it to be quite impressive.
The suspension has been dropped on the NSX at least an inch (those cars are so low I didn't think you could go any lower) and I swear I can barely put my hand under it... 5-point harness, aftermarket seats (Recaro's I believe), and tires SO low profile that they are only about 2 inches high (or so it seems). Really done tastefully too - I'd hesitate to refer to this thing as a Ricer. It is more a well put together AutoX car.
bunker: I don't think it would fair well vs an LT1 or LS1 straightout.
Blue and Sideways: I ASKED you not to say that stuff... lol!

I must admit that those things are sweet, I've been told to watch out for the way the car is balanced. With the mid engine, the wieght ratio is pretty phenomenal. However, the way this one guy described it to me was that when he smashed into the cliff on the way to the Whistler, it was like the car was spinning from the middle and not the front or back. How the car takes turns is supposed to be pretty decieving. So you are very wise my son, in "testing" it mildy at first.

I saw that car and the lady at the alignment shop. A nice ride indeed.
She was dropped off by a guy in the new Nissan Z car.
I cannot say that car really grabs me.
