thinking about taking the cats off or a little while, any one do this or hear it. I got the SLP Loudmouth right now and would not mind it a little louder without adding mods. So hard or not hard??

...your best bet is to replace the POS y-pipe on our LS1's....there crap...just get an offroad pipe for your car nd keep the stock one for back-up....better yet, LONGTUBES

I agree with sleeper , longtubes and keep the cats , LS1's can sound BAD without cats !! Really raspy .

No man , your car sounds evil , but I think longtubes change the sound , no cats on manifolds would sound like poop I think

The amount of effort you will have to put in to pull the cats and then have peices of pipe welded in place will not be worth it. Just buy an aftermarket y-pipe to match up to your stock manifolds, or better yet save up and get some headers

Also Kal, your sig is too long

Headers are cheap....plus, I hear it's a worth a tone of power on the LS1's.

Mike Servio's brother had a MAC off-road pipe (LS1) forsale a while back...he may still have it.
