yeah if your car cant handle daily driving i suggest it dont come on this trip. nothing a BCAA membership cant fix, speakign of BCAA perhaps they wouldnt mind sponsoring this type of event. we can make stops in pentiction kelowns etc. get canadian tire or places like that to sponsor by providing us with there parking lots to have a car show in there community, providing we have enough cars.

are people seriously interested in this as a official event or just a get together event? this must be planned now if we were to organize a serious touring event.

IMO, I still like the idea of a rally better. Could be called the "Thunderball" or something like that. To keep things simple, everyone starts at the designated spot. The route of direction is planned and everyone is responsible for booking their own accomodation at the named hotel. Whether you cruise at 90 or at 160 is up to the driver.

that sounds fun, but id rather travel in a pack, more fun and i think it'd be easier to get going as a personal get together, instead of a official event

Why cant you travel in a pack if your doing over 90? Let me tell you a story. Back when I was younger, we used to go to the drive-in theater every other Sunday. This drive-in was about a 40km drive from where we all lived. The final show would end around 1AM and thats when the real fun began. Anywhere from 15-20 cars would head out all at once. Not everyone would participate, not everyone could, but usually half of that crowd would end up blasting down the road nose to tail.

That by far is the most fun Ive ever had driving a car.

i think you misunderstood me, i meant travel in a pack as in were a clump of cars going down the hwy together. i meant if people were ranging from 90 to 160 then we wouldnt be all together and be spread apart really fast, i just thought a pack travel would be nice. and since my car is 4.10's, 3sp and 3600 stall converter i dont want to go fast and kill gas etc

I would really like to go on a trip like this for maybe a weekend. Maybe a trip to Penticton on Peach Fest weekend by taking the Princeton route...Also, we could get the Van Stangers, Grandnational clubs, Vette clubs etc to join in. I think we have some fun people in this group and a long drive followed by some cold beer on a beach somewhere would be really cool.

I think I did misunderstand you. Averaging 100mph wouldnt be a good idea, it was just a number i threw out. On the other hand, cruising at 90 kph is rather lame too. Regular traffic does better than that. I totally agree that keeping the group together will make the drive that much more enjoyable.

I couldnt agree more. The more enthusiasts that get involved in this, the funner it would be.

haha, in no means would i do 90kph but it is a cruise and gas is a factor. id have to install some mega tires but id cap my limit at 110kph cuz any more then that its added gas, and part wear, and more noise for nothing we got all day, its a cruise heh
