Hey Ellis, You still here man?

My friend is porting his heads and intake on his 96 Z and he had some questions for ya. I think they were pertaining to what cam he should use.

Anyways he just got done doing some clean up work on them and is now ready to start tearing into the heads. He has never ported anything so he is looking for some adivce before he ****s them up

IE: He doesn't want to hit a water jacket or something dumb like that

Hitting a water jacket isn't really a big deal or that uncommon in a serious port job. If you're not pushing the limits though you can probably get by without TIG welding a blow-through

Personally I'll pay somene to do it right the first time (and let THEM do the TIG welding and repairs if/when they blow through a jacket).
