Talking Headers have arrived

My Pacesetter LTs have apparently arrived. I have to go down and pick them up in Blaine and pay the GST/duty, but I don't know if that will happen today, or even tomorrow, but hopefully soon. And hopefully nothing is missing. Usually something goes wrong... I hope to find some time this weekend to install so I can be in on the dyno, but things are so busy I may not be able to swing it.

Chris, let me know what you need for help and/or tools. I was going to go the airshow this weekend, but if you set a day, I can plan around it and help you out.

Wow! Such support! I wasn't thinking of asking for help, and here are 4 guys volunteering! This board is awesome!

EDIT: make that 5. Craig posted while I was posting...

Now for the problem. The morons at Pacesetter sent me the wrong headers. They are for the correct year (so that is ok), but they sent me the non-coated ones (when I paid for Jet Hot). Of course, they charged me for the coating... And to top it off, they never sent me an invoice with the goods - so try and explain that to the Customs guy why you have a car full of exhaust parts and no invoice... sheesh. Anyways, the Cdn girls there were good at customs.

So, I need to sort out with the company tomorrow what they are going to do about the mistake. First of all, I don't want to pay to ship the stuff back to them, then try and go through customs AGAIN! Second, my understanding is that they just got SO back ordered that they are not taking any new orders for weeks. All I can say is that they better accomodate me. One way or another.

Part of me wants to just keep the non coated ones (at an extreme discount) cuz I know it will take 6 weeks to see a new set. But, I really wanted the coated set...

that sucks about the coatings.
if you do go ahead and do it this weekend or next, i will try to come in a give a hand. dunno how much time i am gunna have (new gf) so it would probably be best if you posted your address and the day you plan on doing it and i will try my best to show .

i would say just get them coated here and not deal with the hassle of the border, shipping and the time it is gunna take to do it all.

do they look like they are made with good quality? or just quickly thrown together?

They seem fine in quality. The inside of the pipes need some cleaning out for the burrs, and the welds aren't fancy, but for the price they are fine. There specs are teh same as all others except maybe Kooks and QTP. Better than MACs I've seen.

I agree , if you get the rebate for the coating you can have them done locally . Those kind of screwups seem to come my way also Jet hot is pretty good so I think youll get reimbursed (sp)
