Group Dyno Day!
Group Dyno Day!
To All,
I know some of you have said you might be interested, but I feel better about posting a day first, then we'll start this list, starting NOW.
I went down to Turbo Tech today and talked with the new guy at the front desk. His name is Tracy. Seems to be a cool guy. I talked them into $40 for 2-3 pulls this year.
Here's the details:
Where: Turbo Technology
6211 S. Adams
Tacoma, WA.
LINK: http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/location.htm
DATE!!!: Saturday, 13 December 03
Time: Probably around 0900, but I'd probably start showing up ~0800
REMEMBER THIS: R-S-V-P!! Last year I had people show up to dyno that never let me know they wanted to dyno. This is first come, first served, and if you're on my list, then you're first served. Everyone else will get on the rollers if there's time afterwards. Last year we managed to get about 3 extra people on (about 16 total). So if you're passing the word around, make sure if that person wants to dyno to LET ME KNOW! You can either reply to this thread, or email me privately. (brent.riffel@worldnet.att.net) I'm going to make a list of 15 people, and ~5-6 maybe's on the end of it.
This is rain or shine. Last year is was pouring rain in the morning, and initially they didn't think we'd show and weren't going to open up for us, but people started showing up anyway. So even if it's crummy out, come anyway.
I asked about wideband usage, and Tracy wasn't sure on the price, but if I remember right, they only charged an extra $10 to $15 for it.
So here we go! This year I'm inviting some Stangnet guys too, so we're going to mix it up a little (F-bodies, Y-bodies, Fox bodies, whatever, bring it!). Should make for a good time!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Like I said, I don't care what you bring. All I need is a minimum of 15 people to dyno and we can get it at $40 each.
I just finished my rocker install. I'm hoping for 300 at the wheels through stock exhaust manifolds and I think I'll at least be close.

Whatever, let me know.
I started posting this last night, and in less than 12 hours I already have 8 on the list, and 1 Stand By. I want at least 7 more, and about 4 more Stand By's. I have posted this on 3 other forums, and 3 mailing lists too, so hurry up!

I still need 3 more people to fill up the Standby list. The main list is full now, but if history repeats itself, a couple of those guys will UNDOUBTEDLY cancel on me last minute. So if you want to come out and play let me know! Hell, come out anyway!
Only 7 of the cars are F-bodies, 1 Buick, 2 Vettes, 1 Impala SS, and 5 Mustangs.

I want to dyno my 02 firehawk before I sell it or mod it. Too bad this is happening in december cause we could have snow that day. My hawk told me not to take her out in this weather so I wont.
Come spring time you can count me in on cruising down to the states for a bargain dyno. Bargain gas and beer down there too.

For those of you coming out, the list is now full. The date (13 December 03) is confirmed.
They also told me that if you want wideband O2, they charge an additional $45 for this. I don't know why the price has doubled in the last year.
Oh well, even if you're not dyno'ing it would be a good time to come out of the house and meet some local enthusiasts. The list is pretty evenly split, there will be a variety of cars there. I've got ~8 F-bodies, 2 Vettes, 1 Impala, 8 Stangs, 1 F350, and a Buick coming out to play.
See you there.
