Greetings from Egypt
It's SOOO nice here... kinda hot, well, REALLY hot (ranges from 45 to 55 degrees), but a nice hot. It's like being in a nice sauna all the time.
Getting a nice tan too!
My trip is going pretty good... havin a real nice time actually. (Just to make you that much more jelous :P neener neeeener )
The first week I spent with family.. my little cousins are SOOO cute hahaha.. I love em'.
After that I went to the Medeteranian. WOW. That's all I can say. It was gorgeus! The water was CRYSTAL clear, you could see right to the bottom. & warm too... very inviting, all you wanted to do was jump right in. Even the sand was nice, it was sooo white... as in SNOW white... & soft, it was more of a dust then sand. Very very nice. I rented a JetSki & took it for a rip over the waves... THAT was fun. I have vowed to purchase one whenever it is I become extremly wealthy. The first few days at the Sea I spent simply relaxing. All I did was sleep, sit on the balcony over-looking the water reading, drinking tea, enjoying a cigarette or just staring into the water or up at the blue sky just pondering... time very well spent if you ask me - a true vacation allways has "do-nothing" time... After that I was pretty much at the beach until they dragged me kicking & screaming back onto the tour bus.
Actually.. one of the beaches I went to was, at her time, restricted only to Cleopatra. It was her designated bathing area. When I arrived there I could EASILY tell why. I'll post some pics once I get back & scan them in (I forgot my digicam so all I've been using are these crappy disposable ones :-/ )
Now I'm in Cairo... in an internet Cafe typing this up. (as it turns out the internet is free in egypt, however, it's only dial up & EXTREMLY slow - the max speed you get is about 2kb/s ) I spent the day sight see-ing. I went to the Pyramids & they were something else... I mean, just the sheer size of them! Each stone was rectangular size & vertically TALLER then I. (I'm 6'2" btw) Each stone weight anywhere from 2 to 3.5 tonns! I mean, just think about it. Each stone was moved my ship from Luxor (a good 9 hour DRIVE away) & placed on top on another without any mechanical help! It took 100,000 workers 30 YEARS to complete it! You may see them in photos & whatch them on television... but standing next to them is when you really get a perspective as to how amazing they truley are. After that I went into town & did some shopping. I bought a whole bunch of gifts & what not for close friends back home. Damn people never bought me nothin! :P
Amsterdamn was pretty cool too... we stayed there for a day on our way here. My sis & I took the train out to the main city & walked around for a bit, did some shopping, ate some food & took a boat tour. Like, you know how in vienna they have all those water roads running through the city & there are boats that go through them... they have the same thing there. It's actually a pretty cool place, the buildings & streeets & everything is soo different. I mean, ALL the streets were made with laid bricks.
It reminded me allot of egypt but change all the white people to arabs & your set! :P
The driving here (in egypt) is NUTZ! I thought it might have gotten better since I was last here but it's only gotten worse. There are NO rules... no lanes, no lights, no speed limits... NOTHING. Basically a big ashfault road, you, a steering wheel & GO! All the cars, people everything just squirming left & right avoiding each other by mere inches... it's actually somewhat of a rush hahaha...
Anyhow.. I'll let all you poor fools stuck in Van get back to your drab lives & I'll continue on in my adventure... :P hahaha.. I WISH. Actually, the remainder of my trip (another 3 or 5 weeks, depending on how long it takes me to find out what I need to find out) I'll be investigating sever business ideas. Tying to see if any of my ideas could actually maybe even work! HA! Imagine that!
