Good news and bad...mostly good.:)

THE BEAST HAS AWOKEN

although its a grumpy SOB.

I tried to start the car a couple of days ago and had spark problems.

With the help of Cory (again, what a great guy) we found a blown fuse and based on a nagging worry, I relocated a wire that I had connected to the wrong spot. I put in a new fuse and

It awoke.

Rashpaul had come over just as Cory and I were buttoning things up and he was here to get the car running on the FAST.

THAT is the good news. The "bad" news is that it did not want to stay running. Though it ran for a good 5 - 7 mins we could not get it to start a second time and then it got to late to keep trying anyway.

We also found that the WB O2 sensor does not seem to be working so I have to speak to FAST about that but I cannot say how happy I am that at least it ran for a while. I only hope that the issue right now is minor.

Should be ready to bolt the wheels on soon.

Yippeeeeeeeee.

Awesome news on the beast coming to life!! Someone needs to take some video of the monster going through it's progression so us Island inhabitors can see and hear the fire-breathing dragon as it rears it's sleeping head....

Actually the car was running quite well after a sluggish start. We had to feather the pedal to get it started but once it warmed up it was ideling very comfortably on its own. It ran for 5 mins all on its own.

However, when we shut it off we had trouble getting it started a second time.

Also Payam, I said to Rash that we needed to calibrate the TPS. His response was that at idle it would hover at 15% and at WOT it would be 85 - 90%. I did not even OFFER that we had seen that ourselves. It seems an idiosincracy (sic) of FAST but I will be asking them that very question to confirm.

well .. if FAST thinks ur TPS is 15% .. but ur TB blades are closed as ur ideling .. it will put in a LOT more fuel as needed for idle and make ur car run PIG RICH ... i doubted that ur car would even idle that rich .. i guess i was wrong ... but either way .. that TPS needs to read from 0% to 100% .. not 15% to 88%

well FAST said the same thing as Rash.

Me: Should my TPS results not read from 0% - 100%.

FAST: No Sir, they will usually read 15 - 18 % on the idle to 86 - 90% at WOT.

Me: Is that any kind of problem.

FAST: No sir. Not at all.
