Re: Gonna look at this car sunday

115k. im thinking thats way overpriced? I found a 95 black 6 speed with 90k for 7 grand, im thinking 6 would be more logical, what do you think?

Re: Gonna look at this car sunday

For me it would come down to color between those two cars.
The mileage is similar - the price is too........

Have you pysically seen both of them? If not, then you need to before attempting to make a decision......
One will likely stand out as "cleaner" in you mind - that may be the better deal here.
What about the carfax on them? Do they have a clean record? What sort of people are you buying the from? If one is a 20 year old punk and the other is a 50 year old woman - I don't have to tell you which one will be in better running shape.

I also get the feeling that these may be the only cars you have thought about........I myself looked at 15+ cars before I narrowed it down to my current one.
If I'm wrong about that - then I take it back.

Best of luck in your seach for the perfect car for you.
Remember, color means everything - if you don't like the color but the price is right, you're likely better off continueing to search for the one that you want rather than settleing for one........

Re: Gonna look at this car sunday

well ive been looking for months and i have looked at a few cars before first hand im just ready to buy now. the red one concerns me because it has 115k on a 94 with no problems with the opti yet and i know i can expect that to go down. and i wouldnt pay more then probablly 5500 for it and i dont know if he will drop 1000 dollars off the price. the red one has been garaged in the winters, its his wifes car, and shes only put 15k on it in the last 5 years.

The black one is a 95 the better year with the vented opti lower miles black, my favorite color. It has new shocks, new clutch, some other goodies overall it just seems more of what im looking for, and a better investment for my money. Anyways what do you think is a logical deal i should offer him for the black one? 1995 z28 6 speed t tops black 89k. i would say like 6300? Im hoping . Alright thanks!

Re: Gonna look at this car sunday

There is a LS1 Z with 70k miles out my way and the asking price is 8100...

If sure you could probably get them to come down a tad on it as the add says 5th gear has issues.

But if your stuck on an LT1 both deals you got there are decent. I would still offer who ever it is a low ball figure and go from there.

Re: Gonna look at this car sunday

well i am 16 and face to face sellers usually treat me like some punk kid and when i try to point out things and try to drop the price they act like i dont know what im talking about. even though ive worked and saved all the money myself and no more about these cars then they probably do themselves. but i really like this black 95. do you think 6200 or so is a reasonable offer for a 95 z28 black 6 speed, flowmasters, shocks, sways, new clutch with 89k?
