ummm, hey dumpy, that's two words and one number, or two numbers if u really want to get tehnical.
So u're saying that just for some head you would switch to an LS1?

well .. obviously u dont know what the value of having 15* heads over 23* heads is

let me name some more superiorities of the LS1

1) superior block design / oil passages / more beef for boring it far further / resleeving ability
2) head design, 15* as opposed to 23* LT1, no siamesed exhaust ports, more beef to port out
3) much better intake from the factory, and plastic so it wont heat up
4) aluminum motor, dissapates heat and weights less

i duno i can go for hours
u never know maybe next year id be selling my longblock along with my T56 and posi all for a BIG CHANGE

I Vote for LS1, mod for mod it is superior. Although you don't feel the hard hitting torque in a LS1 as you do in a LT1 car don't assume that it isn't there If you put a stock LT1 next to a Stock LS1 I am sure the LS1 will beat it off the line and all the way from there Although right now I am stuck with my measily LT1 so I will have to Slay some LS1's

Dyno curves should not break like that unless there is something wrong with the machine (of course, maybe I'm missing something here...). Looks more like someone took a section of the dyno curve and inflated it 200 rwhp. Unless they only blipped the nitrous for 0.5 seconds and turned the reader off and on right when the nitrous was hit, and turned off.
I think it does that because it has an automatic tranny. It looks like they started the dyno reading early and stopped it late or something???

Just wait until the LT1 guys start making the conversion to SBC heads...you know, economies of scale....(it'll be cheaper) Anyway, think of some nice Canfield heads on my LT1??? I have a feeling that for the next few years the LT1 croud will still be pounding the LS1's.

highly doubt that'll happen .. LT1s have been around since 92 .. LS1s came in to the game 5 years later in 97 ... so unless u fix the siamesed twin and valve angle issue with the LT1 design and mgyver a way to build a big bore LT1 block that wont blow up (will cost u 10x more than buying an LS1) then u got no competition ..

Lt1 crew has had 5 more years in R&D time .. but look who'se ahead ?! LS1s .. and it'll always be that way .. theres already more parts being offered for LS1s than there is for LT1s ...

dont get me wrong i love my LT1 and i will slay any LS1 that dare step foot in my path .. but u guys better watch out for the day i put a 421 LS1 in my car

Stranger things have happened...although, if I ever got to that point, I'd just call up Pat Musi and have him build me a pimp injected SBC or BBC. There is a little BOO YA to the LS1's!
