i had read that open headers versus a good 3 inch single exhaust really was not of any significant HP benefit, and Ellis just confirmed that. Of course for your low powered N/A guys the lack of back pressure gives up some low end torque as well

As far as I'm concerned the ONLY benefit to true duals is sound. To obtain that benefit requires going through mufflers. The ONLY reason I have a DMH now is for fun and I'm really not sure that inrimidation factor would be any different with two cutouts.

No, for my money I want a true dual system that is streetable. Not really worried about haveing "open headers" for either performance or sound.

Ellis's cutout is a single cutout AFTER his 4" Y pipe ... his Y pipe has NO restriction whatsoever ... shaun, the FLP Y pipe has 2.5" tubing .. not 4" !!! so i will GARUANTEE YOU that with dual cutouts we will BOTH see GREAT preformance gains ...

the Y pipe in the FLP setup is the big restriction .. i can almost garuantee that you will see 20-25 rwhp MINIMUM gaines .. and for myself, about 10 ...

but the mostly its the sound .. if uve ever fired up ur car with open headers you know what im talking about listen to THIS with ur subwoofer on and tell me u wouldnt pay $100 to have that sound on the street anytime u want

and im thinking about putting on a stock muffler .. stock muffler + dual DMH cutouts = WHAT THA F*CK on that mustang guys face

You think exactly like I do -=) Too bad I just had my tranny go or I'd be putting in a DMH on my stock exhaust right now =/
