Well, that's good for you. Glad things worked out.

However, I guess this is PRECISELY why the rest of us poor saps have to pay a friggin thousand dollars a year more for OUR insurance nowadays compared to a couple of years ago! To cover for other people's claims like this. Having a car insured under a parent's name works good for you, but we're the ones getting screwed in the end with higher claims because the people responsible for the damage are not actually having to pay for it...

Im sorry but if youve been in "like 8 accidents" maybe you should consider buying a bus pass.

i can't wait to see what my insurance is gunna cost next year....
20 years old with a 20% discount and they are jacking up my rates again. i sometimes wonder why i don't just insure it under my parents name, but then i realize i don't want to have the possiblity of getting in an accident and getting royally fucekd over by icbc for insurance FRAUD. all you guys that do that it is fraud and i honestly hope some people get caught so i don't have to pay as much for my insurance, so someone else can claim it under someone else's name.

todd... u speak the truth, they have to prove that you drive the car more than 4 days a week... ie, in this case, all claims/tickets on the car are under my name, all repair records are under my name, and they know all this, but they cant pin it down cuz theres still the possibility that my mom drives the car, since its insured for "pleasure use"

Bite me? Thats an intelligent response Todd. Muff was stating a valid point. Do you honesty think EVERYONE gets away with it?

My point is,,,, I know if your parents were willing to put the car in there name for you.... you would do it too....My parents trust me....and im not an idiot driver....now when I buy my other car in the fall...I am putting it in my own name...but now I have carefully decide what car I can afford insurance for under my name
