I was jsut wondering if anybody would have any idea about what the problem could possibly be, I called flag and they wanna charge me 130 bux to scan it, would anyone be willing to computer scan it for me?

first off . i dont think any of us have an OBDII scanner .. since ur car is a 96 it has an OBDII pcm ..

But there is a good chance that ur ignition module has gone south .. not the coil itself ... the ign module is that black little thing above ur coil that has a wire harness going to it ...

borrow someone else's and see if that fixes ur problem

also listen for ur fuel pump turning on .. could be dead ... or another thing to do is . pull one of ur spar plugs and turn the car over .. see if it sparks .. if it does then u got a fuel issue ... but 99% of the time its an ignition issue

Tried the ign module, didnt work, checked a spark plug and yes it did spark, so would it be my fuel pump for sure?, i remeber my car struggling to start awhile back and at that time on the third try it started up, and then a few weeks later i brought it home and shut it off, when i came back out to start it, it took 3 or 4 trys to start up and after that it didnt start again.

Id bet it's your fuel pump,Listen closely as you turn the key to ign. but don't start it,the starter noise mite drown out the fuel pump whine. If you don't hear the pump you can alway's try & kick, smack the fuel tank itself, this will often jarr the pump into comming on.Ive changed a couple in those f-body's & there not much fun to do.Mine have alway's gone at 180000kms.Whats your k?Somewere on the net there is an article on how to change the pump thru the trunk-Ya you gotta cut a hole in the trunk & fish it out the top,it's kind of getto & I wouldn't go bragging about it,but it does make things easier.Good luck

it should make a slight buzzing sound

have someone go under the car near the tank and u turn the key to ON (not start)

it should go bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for about 2-3 seconds and shut off
