There is a bracket/pulley part number for the 1LE cars that take the place of the compressor. Can't recall the part numbers but you could do a search and I'm sure it'll come up.

Yeah, mine holed hose is free to take as well.

I had a blower belt strip and tear a hole in a coolant hose. Between the cost of replacing that, the cost of a recharge, the fact I need the space for a vacuum pump and that I have a vert (if it is hot enough for A/C then its hot enough to put the top down), i think I'm going to just remove the A/C

As long as the ends aren’t gooned, yes I will take anything you are tossing, INCLUDING holed flex hoses.
Thanks

Yes, many ways.
TIG or tap AN fittings on to the OE ends and run teflon Aeroquip is one.

If you just want it back the way it was there are mobile guys that will replace just the flex part.
For example, one guy is Reg Thompson 604-328-7125

Sure, for all you guys with verts, you don't need AC. Although I keep my AC on with t-tops on a hot day.

You guys are taking your A/C off in the hottest spring/summer we've probably ever had. I dare you all to take out your radiator. That would save weight too. Convert to air cooled.
