the big question comes up .. again
the big question comes up .. again
damn u craig ..
for putting these thoughts in my head
so here goes nothing ...
sell all the parts, fix up the car and sell it .. and buy a C5.. eventually put heads / cam in it and live with a 450 rwhp C5 .. or fix up the camaro go ahead with my plans and have a 650 rwhp street camaro
i hate having to think about selling the car... its all craig's fault .. damn u craig ...
i know i can buy a C5 outright if i part out + sell the car ... so i could live with a paid off stock C5 for a while till i mod it ... it'll probably be stock for a week knowing me
or i could waste another 10 grand on the damn camaro (totals to well over 50k by now
) to have a 650 rwhp Fbody that looks deadly

Heads, 12 bolt, Street twin, S trim kit, corbeau seats, and a million other little parts that i got .. which i would post in detail i guess .. .
this thread is s bustin my ***** .. but....

Dude keep the Camaro, the reason you're so depressed is because you never listened when I told you that the way you were modding your car you'll never be happy with it, & look in the end you're not, you have to pimp that $hit & make it hella fast, you are doing it right now man, just forget the track times & you'll be fine
The only way to have a fun street/track car is to have an AUTO, just do what you are doing now, blown 355 with pimp wheels & nice paint job, you'll be pimp, a C5 is too much, I don't think you'll really be happy with it, its not you man, its more Craig then anything.

Hey Payam, Instead of changing your mind all the time.... I have a better idea. You got the skills , you got your degree, now get a job. Even if it ain't ur dream job, start getting some money flowin. Then you can not only have a 600+hp streetable camaro, you can get a mildly modded c5 as well. Even though I voted for you to get the C5 , matt and armen have a point. Keep the car, pimp it out and buy a C5 as well. Just wait until the C6 comes out, the price of C5's will drop. And... I may just have a Z06 for you by that time.
My friend only plans on keeping it for a while longer and although I have dibs on it first, in reality, I would rather sleep in my bed then the sofa if I come home with another sports car. which means I won't be getting it.
Keep the ride it'll be IMHO cheaper to start fixing it up and make it look good then buying a vette. You know as well as everyone else, that'll u'll start modding it right away and still not be happy.

... what u guys dont understand (or didnt read from the first post) is that ...
if i want to fix up the maro and go thru with my plans .. it will cost me a good 10k
if i were to part it out, put it back to stock and fix it and sell it .. i can put in less than 2-3k to pay off a C5 ....
so i dunno what to do here

I dont think you will be able to leave the vette alone either. If your buiding your Zed into an all around 650 rwhp performance car, there will be very few cars in BC that will be able to touch you.
Another vote for the vette.
It's a natural progression from the f-body. I don't have to take a poll to know that I will join the vette club between the next few months to a couple of years. I've driven a new vette and there is no sports car in the world to compare in that price range, end of story.

Go for the vette... a much better platform to build on. And it doesn't loose near the re-sale value that our cars do.
HOWEVER, as todd says, I dunno where you have these super cheap vettes stashed, but let us know
What are C5's going for these days? And what year would you be considering? You say toss in a few grand and it'll be paid off, so it must be the cheapest, oldest (97?) vette you can dig up, hehe Well perhaps not the oldest and cheapest, but pick one of those
Sell your car stock, for 15 grand (I'd be surprised if it goes for that, but i dunno how many km's it has, and well, there's a sucker born every day).
I think you'll be very hard pressed to get 15 grand for your mods...
BUT, if you can swing it, go for it man. I think its a much nicer car. I know i'd rather have a vette then my Z!

I could trade in my 02 firehawk right now with $15,000. and drive away with a new 50th anniversary vette.
Already discussed the deal at Carter, I just don't have $15,000. in loose change hanging around.
The car salesman has an easy answer, finance it. My payments would go through the roof. Another year of paying off the hawk will put me in better standing.
What's the e-mail address of the vette club, better introduce myself to my new friends soon.
