Bad day for the camaro
The sound clip is still messing with my head. Its hard to say bbut from the clip i aint agreeing with the header gasket.
For starters he is running metal GM gaskets and it is damn hard to blow them apart as mush as required to make that much noise.
Secondly the sound is too tinny and rapid for my liking also. Like I said it could be just the speaker on the camera messing with me . But I would proceed with caution and make sure it actually is a header gasket and not something else. From what i hear it sounds more like a rocker or lifter gone completely south.
Also if it in turn was a eshaust leak of that magnitude you would more then likely not be questioning it. For starters you would be able to feel the air around the header blowing out and you would also be able to smell the exhaust under the hood. If you cant oliver then i would look deeper for the problem.
Take care

Ohh God you guys crack me up, every noise is distinct, you can't describe a noise to someone & expect to be able to tell, those I can guarrantee & knowing what many sounds sound like is not a lifter, its either a header/exhaust leak or blown headgasket out the side, one or the other.
Ollie post a pic of that pushrod that was bent, & for those who though it was a lifter or something that sound was not a valve train sound it was an exhaust leak sound that was very loud, the pushrod bent so badly on the exhaust that it sat there doing nothing & the exhaust had no where to go so it came out of the intake & Throttle body/intake was all black obviously, so unless you have a muffler on your intake its gonna be loud

I said intake instead of exhaust accidently sounded stupid, so its edited

Oops I meant to say exhaust valve not intake valve
, thats a pushrod from an exhaust valve, so there was no exhaust valve so when there was ignition it would come out the intake at times, other times it would either not ignite at all or spill the fuel back into the intake, most of the time it would ignite the mixture & then the exhaust had no where to go, & when the intake would open boom the exhaust is in the intake, read more carefully.

PS. if it was an intake valve which it wasn't, then you would still have problems because you'd have fuel in the intake.
Just so you know, but that would just case a split & rich mixture on other cylinders. But this one was the fourth pushrod from the front, which is an exhaust valve.
