A&B Sound connection

I have 2 12" DR.Crankenstein High Voltage Comp. subs that are suppost to come with a lifetime warranty. I bought them 2 years ago from the store on Marine Drive by the airport. Anyways last night the sub made a strange sound ( I had it at 1/4 volume. Not loud but loud enough) so I take a peek and the cone on one sub is cracked from one side to the other. Guy at A&B Sound says they cant do much cause they dont sell them anymore but WTF?! Why sell it to me in the first place with this warranty. My buddy had a similar problem and they replaced the sub with an Alpine TYPE R. I just want it fixed or replaced like they promised but they dont seem to car. Thanks for any help.

Nope. No receipt anymore but it should show on their computer cause they took my name and # etc. when I bought it.

Their car audio products are usually covered under manufacturer's warranty, NOT an in-house warranty, due to the high turnover of mobile audio. So even if they have you on their computer - they MAY be hesitant to compensate you for your loss. Hope I'm wrong though.
