Here’s an Idea,
Everyone who said they would be a part of this Dyno Day should pay up even if they did not go.
Matt set this up with SNK based on the word of people that they would participate.
No shows should pay anyway as they were reserving time at SNK as well as the actual Dyno runs.
If people are not willing to keep their word, they really shouldn't give it.
I realize that there are sometimes extenuating circumstances but backing out at the last minute or plain not turning up is not acceptable in my eyes.
If every "signee" did show, I apologize, but at the time I left there seemed to be a number of absentees

i some what agree.... but i think that ur spot should be pre-payed before a cut off date, or a non-refundable deposit.

but yes... how did it go anyways?

I agree with Gerry. The people that said they would be there should pay even if they were a no show.
Matt booked the dyno for the day after getting the ok to do so on the forum poll. The exact day was chosen based on people's word. He got the group rate based on people's word that they wanted in. There is no excuse for people who said they would show up and didn't other than the untimely death of an immediate family member (pets don't count). Even if you were passing a kidney stone today, you have no excuse.
The ones that bailed owe Matt cash and an apology!

BTW, Matt put up some good HP #'s. (His TQ #'s are a little on the girly side, however)

maybe next time we could do it by invitation only (i.e. invite only those that didn't bail out without warning) and collect money up front...

I feel bad for Matt who spent all the time setting it up - we still got about 8 peeps out tho, which is OK I guess.

Well I have to say, lots of guys backed out a week before hand, which is unacceptable aswell, a few guys said they'll come & I didn't even put them up on the list, I was so worried by the end that we'll only see 3 peeps, thank God Gerry had 2 cars, got a friend to come & Mike (zedzag) descided to dyno aswell.

Camaro Chriss is the only guy who acted like a human being & offered to pay.

As for the rest of you, a weeks notice for something that was organized over a month ago is no excuse.

I felt embarassed to say the least, good thing the folks at SNK took it very well.

Matt.

LOL Mike....the burgers did kick a$$.

I was talking with Mrs. SRK and she said when the RX7 guys had their dyno day, they all showed up in big group (about 25 cars). I couldnt help but think that some import club did a better job of getting their **** together than us.

I drove over 6 hours to show up for dyno day. I have no idea who didnt show but maybe next time if you say your going to be there....be there!!

And to Chriss: That was cool you offered to pay up man even though your TB hadnt showed up yet. That says alot about your character. Good job.

Yeah, I hate thinking how the imports and Mustang boys always turn out way more than us. Pretty impressive how you and Steve both drove so far to dyno and hang out though.

Steve's car was running so bloody rich. Needs to lean that baby out.

I'd check plugs and wires first.... could be some misfire action causing the rich condition.
