He tried to install a giant Nitrous system onto one of the ships turbine generators...and he hooked up the "little red button" to the Captain's chair. As soon as the captain sat down the entire boat propelled forward and hit an iceberg.

True story I swear .

Cool

Actually, I heard that he was trying to increase performance by creating a freer flowing exhaust, and when the captain noticed him trying to replace the 75 foot diameter smoke stacks with a larger SLP loudmouth 100-foot unit, he had him thrown into the brig for a night. Apparently, the captain liked the idea of the better exhaust, but felt that the significant noise increase was going to lead to a higher mortality of whales and dolphins through brain hemoraging.

Really, that's the truth. But since then, I haven't heard a word from him...

I heard a similar story to what ChriSS heard. The captain did like the 100 foot diameter stainless steel mandrel bent stack, but it was just too noisy without the catilytic converters.

All of the people on the ship were walking around looking for the NASCAR event on the ship, as they were confused by the NASCAR type sounding exhaust that they constantly heard coming outof the stack

I just got back from an Alaska cruise and believe you me it is easy to get in trouble. Ask the bartenders, they know my bar bill.
